Spocco Points: How to Earn and Where to Spend Them
The full Spocco Points economy in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort: every source, the fastest farms, the daily bonus, and what 1,000 points actually buys.

Spocco Points are the only currency in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Everything cosmetic that is not tied to an achievement is bought with them, and the Item Center takes 1,000 points per draw.
Every source of points
| Source | Rough payout | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| First match of the day | 1,000 | Any sport, online or offline |
| Online match bonus | ~200 per match | Stacks with the sport's own payout |
| Thumb Wrestling win | ~400 | ~2 minutes per match |
| Basketball win | ~400+ | Fast matches |
| Golf round | ~800 | Long session |
| Bowling game | Varies | Slower than thumb wrestling |
| Local table tennis | ~70 | Not worth farming |
| Island Crown wins | Deterministic rewards | Includes points |
| Leisure sport challenges | Small | Incidental |
The two numbers that matter are the daily 1,000 and the online bonus, because they multiply everything else. A player who logs in for one match a day and a player who grinds for three hours on Saturday do not earn the same total; the daily player usually earns more.
The daily routine that actually works
- Claim the daily bonus. One match of any sport, ideally the one you are best at, so it takes two minutes.
- Farm the fastest sport while the queue is healthy. Online thumb wrestling, because the match is short and the bonus applies.
- Stop when the queue slows. Off-peak matchmaking turns a 400-point match into a 400-point match with a two-minute wait.
Ten to fifteen minutes a day is the efficient ceiling. Beyond that, the points per hour falls off because the daily bonus is already claimed.
What points cannot buy
Points cannot buy achievement rewards. Each competitive sport's five achievements unlock cosmetics that the Item Center does not stock, and the leisure sports' collectibles unlock exclusive outfits. A player with a million points and no achievements still cannot complete the wardrobe.
That is the design: the currency covers the random catalogue, the achievements cover the deterministic one.
The random draw problem
Item Center draws are random and the collections rotate weekly, two per week, with a monthly themed collection on top. Spending 1,000 points on a draw does not let you choose the item. That means the sensible strategy is to save rather than spend as soon as you can afford a draw: wait until a collection appears that contains something you actually want.
For the rotation and the mechanics, see the Item Center guide.
How much does a full wardrobe cost
Tens of thousands of points. The catalogue rotates, so a "complete" wardrobe is a moving target, and the random draw means duplicates are possible. Treat the number as a long-term project rather than a target you can grind out in a weekend; the achievements and Island Crown rewards cover a large part of the best-looking items anyway.
Points and the bundle
If you bought the console bundle, the three months of Nintendo Switch Online are worth taking advantage of: online matches pay the per-match bonus, and the daily bonus is easier to claim when matchmaking is instant. The bonus is small per match and meaningful over three months.
